Tip: If a third party helps you manage your profile, you can add them to your profile after you’re verified.

You can edit your verified Business Profile on Google to keep your business information accurate and up to date. Update details like your address, hours, contact info, and photos to help customers find and learn more about your business.

Important:

If you haven’t already, add or claim your business, then verify your Business Profile so it's eligible to show up on Search, Maps, and other Google services.

Your business must be verified before edits to the name, category, address, hours, phone number, website, and other details are published and appear on Google Search and Maps.

Some business owners may still need to verify their business first before they edit their information.

Edit a Business Profile

You can edit your Business Profile directly on Google Search or Maps. Certain features to manage your profile may differ between Search and Maps and your device's operating system.

Important: To edit your business information:

You must be signed in to the Google Account associated with your Business Profile.

Your Business Profile must be verified.

Go to your Business Profile.

Click Edit profile.

After each change you make, click Save.

On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app Maps.

At the bottom right, tap Business.

Tap Edit profile.

After each change you make, tap Save.

Fix someone else’s local business

If you find something wrong with a business you don’t own or manage, you can suggest an edit or report the error in Google Maps.

If someone else's business is missing from Google Maps, you can add a missing place.

Types of edits

The following are some helpful tips for the types of information you can add or edit on your Business Profile.

Reviews from your customers can provide valuable feedback for your business. You can reply to reviews, which can help build customer trust.

When you reply to reviews, you post publicly as your business. Replies may not appear across Google immediately. However, reviewers will get a notification when you reply to their review. After they have a chance to read your reply, they can update their review.

Tip: If a customer edits their review, the review's post date will be updated to show the date of when the latest edit was made.

Important: Before you can respond to reviews, you must verify your business. After you verify your business, you can reply to reviews directly from your Business Profile on Search and Maps.

Reviews for home-service businesses

When customers leave a review for a home-service business, they might be asked which job the business performed. Customers choose from a merchant-provided list of services that also includes suggested job types that are typical for similar businesses. If the customer left a written review, their selection will be included in the review.

Reply to reviews from Google Search or Maps

On your computer, go to Google Maps or use Google Search.

Google Maps: At the bottom right, tap Business.

Google Search: In the search bar, enter your business name.

Click Read Reviews.

Next to the review you’d like to reply to, click Reply.

To edit your reply: On your reply, click Edit.

To delete your reply: On your reply, click Delete.

To report an inappropriate review:

On your reply, click Info Info icon.

Select the type of violation you want to report.
